Jebel Boukornine is a limestone mountain on the Cape Bon peninsula in northeastern Tunisia, known for its distinctive twin-peaked silhouette. Its summit reaches 576 meters above sea level, making it a visible landmark from surrounding coastal towns.
The mountain offers several hiking routes of varying difficulty that reach the summit ridge, with views across the Gulf of Tunis and surrounding plains on clear days. Vegetation includes Mediterranean scrub and pine stands; the slopes are used for local recreation and short day hikes rather than long alpine expeditions.
The peak and surrounding slopes have long been a geographic reference for nearby settlements; the area has also been valued for its traditional pastoral and woodland uses. Formal protection of the mountain and its environs began in the late 20th century with creation of a local protected area to conserve native vegetation and wildlife.
