Jabal Umm ad Dami is the highest mountain in Jordan, reaching 1,854 metres above sea level. It is located in the country’s southern highlands within Aqaba Governorate near the Saudi border.

Hikers and peak-baggers visit for the summit views across the southern desert and toward the Gulf of Aqaba on clear days. Routes to the summit are typically approached from nearby Wadi Rum or border-area tracks and require a vehicle to reach trailheads.

The mountain has served as a geographic high point rather than a historic fortress or settlement; it is primarily notable for its elevation within the modern state of Jordan. It appears on national topographic maps and is recorded as the country’s summit point.

Jabal Umm ad Dami stands in southern Jordan’s Aqaba Governorate, close to the border with Saudi Arabia and within reach of the Wadi Rum region. The summit is several tens of kilometres from the port city of Aqaba on the Gulf of Aqaba.
