The Humboldt Forum is a major cultural centre in central Berlin housed in a reconstructed palace on Schlossplatz at the historic core of the city. It brings together museum collections, research institutions and temporary exhibition spaces under one roof.
Its displays focus particularly on non-European arts and cultures, drawing on collections from Berlin’s Ethnological Museum and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst. The venue also contains the Humboldt Lab for experimental exhibitions and educational programming.
The building reconstructs the baroque facades of the former Berlin Palace while providing modern, climate-controlled interiors for museum use. The project opened to the public in stages between 2019 and 2021 and now functions as a multi-disciplinary cultural centre.
The Humboldt Forum occupies a prominent central location on Museum Island and Schlossplatz, immediately adjacent to the Berlin Cathedral and within sight of the Fernsehturm (TV Tower). It is easily accessible from central Berlin.
