The Hofgarten in Munich is a formally laid-out public garden in the historic centre of the city, established in the early 17th century. It sits immediately adjacent to the Munich Residenz.

The garden offers lawns, walking paths and a central pavilion known as the Dianatempel, plus shaded colonnades and seasonal plantings; it is a common spot for relaxation and informal events in central Munich. The compact layout makes it easily walkable as part of sightseeing circuits around Odeonsplatz and the Residenz.

Created as a court garden in the early 1600s, the Hofgarten has been reshaped over time and reconstructed after damages in the 20th century; it retains elements of its formal Renaissance-inspired layout.
