Hayling Island is a low-lying island off the south coast of England in Hampshire, connected to the mainland by a road bridge from Havant. The island is a coastal community known for sandy beaches, boating, and seaside recreation.

Tourism and local leisure activities, including windsurfing and small-boat sailing, are primary attractions, and there are caravan parks, promenades and seaside facilities oriented toward day visitors and holidaymakers. The island sits between Langstone Harbour to the west and the open Solent to the south and east, with Portsmouth and Chichester among the nearest larger urban centers.
