Hampden Park

Hampden Park is Scotland’s national football stadium located in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow and functions as the primary venue for the Scottish national team and major domestic cup finals. It is also used for concerts and large sporting events.

The stadium seats roughly 51,000 spectators and contains modern facilities for international football, club fixtures and occasional concerts. It regularly hosts the Scottish Cup final, national team matches and UEFA fixtures when selected.

The original Hampden was established by Queen’s Park Football Club in the early 20th century; the current bowl reflects later redevelopment and modernization carried out at the end of the 20th century to meet contemporary stadium standards. It has been altered and upgraded several times to add seating, hospitality and media facilities.

Hampden Park is situated in the south of Glasgow, in the Mount Florida district, approximately a few kilometres from the city centre and within easy public transport distance of central Glasgow.
