Hamlin Beach State Park is a state park on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in western New York. It offers a sandy lakeshore, picnic areas and campground facilities for day use and overnight stays.

Park recreation centers on the beach and lakeshore activities including swimming, fishing and shoreline walking; inland trails and campground spaces support hiking and camping. Facilities and lifeguard coverage operate seasonally.

The park lies on Lake Ontario in the town of Hamlin, north of Rochester along the lake shore, with road access from the surrounding rural area.

Hamlin Beach State Park is about 30-40 minutes west of Rochester, New York. From NY‑104 take local roads (Reservoir Rd/Dayton‑Hamelin Rds depending on approach) to the park entrance. There is a main parking area with access to the primary beach.

• The quieter east end tends to be less crowded than the main beach access near parking lots.
• For birdwatchers, bring a scope for marshes and the lake; watch early morning for waterfowl and raptors.
• Take the bike paths north toward Sodus Point for longer coastal rides and scenic views.
