Hakone Park (often referred to as Onshi Hakone Park) is a public lakeside park in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture, situated on the shore of Lake Ashi. It provides formal gardens, walking paths and picnic areas close to lakeside viewpoints.
The park’s paths and open lawns are designed for leisure walks and informal recreation, with specimen trees and planted beds arranged along lakeside promenades. On clear days visitors can see Mount Fuji from vantage points overlooking the lake.
The land was historically associated with imperial estate holdings before becoming a public park and has since been managed for day recreation and scenic enjoyment. Trails connect the park to nearby cultural sites and lakefront attractions.
