Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is a prominent Sikh gurdwara and landmark in central New Delhi near Connaught Place, established at the site associated with Guru Har Krishan’s stay in the 17th century. It is known for its large sarovar (holy pool) and community service activities.

The complex includes a main prayer hall, the sarovar, and large langar kitchens that serve free meals to visitors; these are central features for both worshippers and tourists. The sarovar is a focal point for rituals and reflection, and the prayer hall displays the Sikh scriptures (Guru Granth Sahib).

The site commemorates Guru Har Krishan, who is said to have stayed at the bungalow that once stood here and tended to the sick during an epidemic. The modern gurdwara complex was built later and has become an important religious and civic landmark in New Delhi.

The gurdwara sits in central New Delhi close to Connaught Place and major government buildings, making it easily reachable from central city transport links.
