How to Get to Gressier

Gressier is a coastal commune west of Port-au-Prince reached by road from Toussaint Louverture Airport (PAP). Shared minibuses (tap-taps) and private taxis are the usual options; plan extra time for traffic and checkpoints.

By Air

Toussaint Louverture / Port-au-Prince (PAP): Port-au-Prince’s airport is the main international entry. From PAP take a taxi or private shuttle west along RN2 toward Gressier - journey time is typically 30-60 minutes depending on traffic and security checkpoints; taxi fares vary (roughly US$20-50 depending on vehicle and negotiation).

Toussaint Louverture domestic connections / Jacmel (JAK): Domestic air or road links to the region are limited; most visitors use Port-au-Prince and continue to Gressier by road.

By Train & Bus

Train: Haiti no longer has regular passenger rail services; trains are not a travel option.

Bus / Tap-tap: Public transport to Gressier is mainly by shared minivans and tap-taps on RN2 between Port-au-Prince and the west coast (including Léogâne).
