The state park’s main access is off Interstate 80/I-15 west of Salt Lake City near the town of Magna. From the city, drive west along I-80 and take the appropriate local exit for Great Salt Lake State Park/Great Salt Lake Marina. The site is car-accessible; limited public transit may serve nearby towns but is not convenient for direct access to park facilities.
