Great Basin National Park

Great Basin National Park in eastern Nevada protects a remote range of mountains, alpine terrain and a developed cave system; the park was established to conserve the Snake Range’s distinctive natural features. The park’s most prominent summit is Wheeler Peak, which rises to 13,063 feet.

Visitors commonly explore Lehman Caves on guided tours, hike trails that ascend to alpine basins and visit stands of ancient bristlecone pines found at high elevations.
