How to Get to Gobabis

Gobabis is normally reached by road from Windhoek after arriving at Hosea Kutako Airport; coaches and private transfers along the B6 are the practical options for the 2.5-3 hour journey. Rail is not a commonly used passenger option for this route.

By Air

Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH): The principal international airport serving Windhoek is Hosea Kutako (WDH). From Windhoek to Gobabis by road is around 200-220 km and typically takes about 2.5-3 hours by car. Most visitors fly into WDH and continue by road; taxi transfers for the long intercity leg are expensive, so many opt for shuttle or bus services.
