Giant’s Castle is a mountain and surrounding game reserve in the southern Drakensberg of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It forms part of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park World Heritage area and is noted for its natural scenery and cultural sites.
The area is used for hiking and wildlife viewing and contains a network of marked trails and maintained overnight huts for multi-day treks. Visitors also come to see San rock art panels located on rock shelters throughout the reserve.
The site preserves both natural alpine grassland and cliff environments and is managed to protect biodiversity and cultural heritage, including the rock paintings of indigenous San people.
Giant’s Castle sits within the Drakensberg mountain range in central KwaZulu-Natal, inland from South Africa’s east coast, and is accessed via regional roads serving the mountain reserves.

The reserve has several entry points; most hikers approach from the Giant’s Castle campsite or the main Ranger station. Local tour operators in Underberg and Himeville run guided hikes.
