Gaya Tumuli

The Gaya Tumuli are groups of ancient burial mounds in South Gyeongsang Province associated with the Gaya confederacy, a regional Korean polity active in the early centuries of the first millennium CE. The tumuli include earthen mounds and stone-chamber burials that reflect elite funerary customs.

The mounds are valued for their archaeological information about social organisation, burial goods and regional contacts during the Gaya period.
