Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is a cultural complex on the Bukit peninsula of southern Bali centered on a monumental sculptural ensemble of the god Vishnu mounted on Garuda. The site functions as both a civic cultural park and a venue for staged performances and exhibitions.

The park offers formal landscaped areas, an amphitheater, exhibition halls and viewing terraces that present the statue and host cultural events such as dance, music and ceremonies. Visitors use the terraces and platforms for panoramas across the surrounding Bukit landscape toward the southern coastline.

The project was developed as a private cultural complex to celebrate Indonesian mythology and Balinese arts and has been constructed in stages over recent decades. The park now operates as a visitor attraction with scheduled cultural programs and public access to the main sculptural works.

The complex is located in the Ungasan/Bukit area of Badung Regency in southern Bali, within reasonable driving distance of Denpasar, Jimbaran and southern resort areas.

Set on a dramatic limestone cliff on the Bukit Peninsula, the park is built around a towering brass and copper statue of the Hindu deity Wisnu, who represents the protection of the universe. Alongside the sculpture the grounds host local dances, cultural events and even corporate conferences, making it one of the island’s most visited attractions.

At the entrance stand two limestone pillars, each around 25 metres tall and formed naturally over thousands of years. They are adorned with mythical carvings drawn from the Ramayana, the epic that underpins much of Balinese art. Restaurants on site round out a visit that rewards art enthusiasts and history-minded travellers alike.
