How to Get to Fu'an
Fu'an is best reached by rail or road from the regional airports in Fuzhou and Wenzhou; there are also frequent long-distance coaches linking Fujian cities. The local Fu'an railway station gives the fastest, most reliable link for onward travel around the region.
Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC): The main gateway for northern Fujian. From FOC you can take an airport coach or intercity bus toward Fuan; coach services typically take about 2-2.5 hours and cost around ¥50-90. Taxis or private transfers are faster (about 1.5-2 hours) but substantially more expensive (roughly ¥350-600).
Wenzhou Longwan International Airport (WNZ): A convenient option if flying from southern Zhejiang. From WNZ take a direct long-distance bus or a train connection via Wenzhou city toward Fuan; travel time is typically 1.5-3 hours depending on connection and fares are roughly ¥40-80 for bus services.
Train: Fuan Railway Station (福安站) handles regular conventional and some high-speed services to cities such as Fuzhou and Wenzhou. Journey times are usually 1-3 hours depending on service; fares vary by train class (roughly ¥25-¥120).
Bus: Fuan has a central long-distance bus terminal with frequent coaches to Fuzhou, Wenzhou and nearby county towns. Typical bus trips are 1.5-3 hours and cost in the range ¥30-¥80.
How to Get Around Fu'an #
Fu’an is reasonably walkable around the downtown and market areas; many errands can be done on foot.
