Porto’s Estádio do Dragão hosts FC Porto matches, stadium tours, and a club museum; visitors come for matchday atmosphere, occasional concerts, and guided behind-the-scenes views.
The Estádio do Dragão is the home stadium of Futebol Clube do Porto in Porto, Portugal; it opened in 2003 and seats roughly 50,000 spectators.
The venue features modern spectator facilities, corporate hospitality areas and a full-size pitch of about 105 by 68 metres. The stadium complex includes an on-site club museum and retail store that document FC Porto’s history and honours.
Built to replace Porto’s older stadiums and to provide a modern venue for the club, the Dragão was completed in 2003 and hosted matches during UEFA Euro 2004. It was designed by architect Manuel Salgado and has served as FC Porto’s principal ground since opening.
Located in the eastern part of Porto near the Campanhã transport hub, the stadium is within the Porto metropolitan area and is accessible by metro, bus and road from the city centre in under 20 minutes.

How to Get to Estádio do Dragão #
Estádio do Dragão sits in the eastern part of Porto and is served directly by the Porto Metro: take the Metro to Estádio do Dragão station (metro line D) and it is a very short walk from the station to the stadium. From Porto city centre the stadium is roughly 3 km east; by car you can reach it via the city’s ring road (VCI) with signed exits for the stadium and matchday parking nearby.

- Visit early on non-match days and book the official stadium + museum tour in advance - tours operate separately from match-day operations and often sell out at peak times.
- Use Porto Metro (Line D) to Estádio do Dragão station to avoid match-day road congestion and limited parking; the metro stop deposits you right by the stadium complex.
- If you do go on a match day arrive at least 90 minutes before kickoff and use the designated away/home gate routes shown on FC Porto's website to speed entry; consider public transport to avoid long post-match dispersal delays.
