Estadio Akron Stadium

Estadio Akron is a modern football stadium in Zapopan, Jalisco, within the Guadalajara metropolitan area, designed as the home ground for Club Deportivo Guadalajara. It opened in 2010 and features covered seating, modern amenities and facilities for large sporting events.

The venue hosts domestic league matches, cup fixtures and occasional international friendlies or concerts and is equipped to FIFA pitch standards. The stadium replaced older local venues as the primary home for Chivas and serves as a major sports facility for the region.

The stadium lies in the western suburbs of Guadalajara, in the municipality of Zapopan, accessible by road from central Guadalajara and nearby highways.

Estadio Akron is in Zapopan, on the northwest side of the Guadalajara metropolitan area next to the Plaza del Sol/Av. Patria area. By car from central Guadalajara it is roughly 10-15 km (around 20-40 minutes depending on traffic); main approaches use Avenida Vallarta or the Anillo Periférico (Periférico) toward Zapopan, then follow local signage for the stadium. The stadium is served by local bus routes and taxis from Zapopan/Guadalajara - expect a short taxi or bus ride from the nearest light-rail stops (rail stations are not immediately adjacent). Parking is available at/around the complex on match days.
