The Egyptian Museum of Berlin, formally the Egyptian Museum and Papyrus Collection, is part of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and is located on Museum Island in central Berlin. It holds one of the most important collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts outside Egypt.

The museum’s collection spans prehistoric Egyptian material through Pharaonic and later periods and includes sculptures, reliefs, burial goods and papyri. Its best-known exhibit is the painted limestone bust of Queen Nefertiti, which has been on display in Berlin since the early 20th century.

The museum forms part of Berlin’s cluster of national museums and galleries that concentrate antiquities and cultural collections in the central museum district.

Geographically it sits in the Mitte district on Museum Island, close to the River Spree and major central Berlin landmarks.

• Book timed-entry tickets in advance or visit early in the morning to see the Nefertiti bust with fewer people; the bust is the museum's major draw and attracts large crowds at peak times.
