Dubai Frame
Building Gigantic city-frame monument framing old and modern Dubai.
A monumental rectangular viewing frame in Zabeel Park, the Dubai Frame offers a high glass walkway and observation deck with deliberate contrasts between old and new Dubai; an on-site exhibition charts the city’s development.
Dubai Frame is a tall rectangular landmark in Zabeel Park, Dubai, completed and opened to the public in 2018. Its design frames views of older and newer parts of the city and functions as both an observation structure and a city exhibition.
The structure measures 150 metres in height and 93 metres in width and includes an elevated sky deck with a glass-floored section linking the two vertical towers. At ground level there is an exhibition that contrasts historical Dubai with the city’s modern development.
The frame sits within Zabeel Park, roughly between the historic districts to the north and the modern business and high-rise districts to the south, making it a central viewpoint for contrasting cityscapes.
- Dimensions: The rectangular frame stands 150 metres tall and 93 metres wide, creating a deliberate visual contrast between views of old and new parts of the city.
- Positioning: Located inside Zabeel Park, the frame is positioned to offer views over older districts on one side and modern developments on the other.
What to See #
- Sky deck and glass walkway: A glass-floored walkway spans between the top of the two towers and provides elevated panoramic views over Dubai; the walkway includes transparent sections for downward views.
- Ground-level gallery: An exhibition gallery at ground level presents a timeline and contrasting displays about the city's historical districts and modern development.
