How to Get to Dryvyaty

Dryvyaty (the large lake in the Braslaw Lakes group) is reached by road from the nearby town of Braslaw - follow local roads from Braslaw village to lakeside parking areas (a short drive). Regional buses serve Braslaw from other towns in Vitebsk Region; from the town centre the shoreline and visitor spots are a short walk or cycle ride.

Tips for Visiting Dryvyaty

  • Visit early morning or late afternoon in summer to enjoy calmer water, softer light for photos and far fewer people than at midday beach hours.
  • Approach the lake via the village of Dryvyaty to access quieter shoreline points and local boat/harbour access rather than the main tourist beach areas.
  • Walk or paddle out to the lake's headlands and smaller bays-many visitors never leave the main beach and miss the more secluded coves and shoreline viewpoints.
