Djebel Chélia is a mountain in northeastern Algeria, prominent as the highest summit of the Aurès range at 2,328 metres. It is a notable high point in the country’s eastern highlands.
The mountain is part of a rugged, largely limestone massif and attracts local hikers and shepherding activity rather than large-scale tourism. Terrain is steep and can be snow-covered in winter.
Djebel Chélia is located in Khenchela Province in eastern Algeria, within the Aurès mountain region that forms part of the greater Atlas system.
