Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, is the original Disney theme park, opened by Walt Disney on July 17, 1955. It was the first Disney theme park and set the template for later parks worldwide, centered on a fairy-tale castle and a hub-and-spoke layout.

Disneyland Park sits in Anaheim adjacent to Disneyland Drive, Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard, immediately off Interstate 5. By car take I‑5 to the Disneyland Drive/Katella Avenue or Harbor Boulevard exits; on‑site parking lots are signed from those roads. For public transit, regional rail and bus services stop at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) - from ARTIC you can take the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) shuttle or a short taxi/ride‑share trip to the Resort (walking from ARTIC to the gates is a longer walk and most visitors use the shuttle or a quick drive).
