The park lies on the Nicoya Peninsula in Guanacaste; the usual access is by car from Nicoya town or the coastal towns of Samara and Nosara. Expect gravel roads near the park; a vehicle with reasonable clearance is recommended. Local guides and small tour operators from nearby towns can arrange transport and trails.
