How to Get to Datia
Datia is well connected by rail via Datia Junction (DTA) on the Jhansi-Gwalior corridor; the town has good road links to nearby cities. Fly into Gwalior or Delhi and continue by train or road for the most practical routes.
Gwalior / Khajuraho / Bhopal (nearest airports): Datia has no commercial airport; the nearest airports with regular service are Gwalior (GWL), Jhansi has a smaller airfield, and Bhopal or Khajuraho are further afield. Most visitors fly into Gwalior or Bhopal and continue by road; drive times vary between 1-3 hours depending on origin and service.
Indira Gandhi International Airport (New Delhi) (DEL): For international arrivals it’s common to fly to Delhi and travel by train or road to Datia - rail and bus connections from Delhi to the region are frequent (see Train & Bus card).
