Cyclops Mountains

The Cyclops Mountains are a coastal mountain range in Papua province of Indonesia, located near the provincial capital and forming a distinct upland forest area. The range is known for tropical rainforest cover and local endemic species.

Trails through forested slopes and ridges give access to montane and lowland rainforest habitats where visitors and researchers look for endemic plants and animals; the area is ecologically important rather than a mass-tourism destination. Rugged terrain and dense forest characterize much of the range.
