Cross Cave (Križna jama) is a karst show cave in the Municipality of Cerknica in southwestern Slovenia known for its network of underground lakes and chambers. It is one of Slovenia’s notable subterranean systems and is open to the public by guided tour.
Visitors encounter a sequence of chambers connected by water-filled passages; boat sections form part of the visitor route and allow access to inner lake areas. The cave is also important for subterranean biodiversity and speleological research, with several troglobitic species recorded in its waters and sediments.
The cave lies in the karst landscape of Inner Carniola, near local settlements in the Municipality of Cerknica. It is accessed from regional roads and is part of the broader karst system of southwest Slovenia.

Cross Cave is near Cerknica in Inner Carniola. From Ljubljana, drive southwest on the A1 and follow local roads toward Cerknica (approx. 1-1.5 hours). Local buses serve Cerknica; from there a short taxi or local transport is required to reach the cave entrance.
