Coronado Historic Site preserves the ruins of the Kuaua pueblo and associated interpretive displays in north-central New Mexico near the town of Bernalillo. The site interprets both the precontact pueblo community and the encounter with the Spanish expedition led by Francisco Vázquez de Coronado.

Highlights at the site include exposed pueblo foundations and a kiva with painted murals reproduced for public interpretation, plus museum exhibits that explain the local ancestral Pueblo culture and the Coronado overland expedition. Visitors typically use the short trails and the on-site exhibits to learn about the archaeological remains and the historic contact period.

Archaeological evidence shows the Kuaua pueblo was occupied by ancestral Pueblo peoples in the late precontact period, generally dated to the 14th century, and the Coronado expedition passed through the region in 1540. The site has since been stabilized and interpreted by the State of New Mexico to protect the ruins and present the history to the public.

The site is located north of Albuquerque in Sandoval County, near the town of Bernalillo in central New Mexico. It sits on the Rio Grande valley floor at the edge of the high desert and agricultural lands.
