Chelmos-Vouraikos National Park is a protected area in western Greece that includes the Chelmos (Aroania) mountain massif and the Vouraikos Gorge; its highest summits reach about 2,340 meters.
Mount Chelmos features alpine plateaus, karst limestone terrain and areas used for hiking and seasonal recreation, while the Vouraikos Gorge is a steep river canyon carved through limestone cliffs. The gorge is notable for the Odontotos rack railway, which follows the river between the coastal town of Diakopto and the mountain town of Kalavryta over a route of roughly 22 kilometers.
The landscape includes long-standing cultural sites such as the Mega Spilaio monastery on the northern slopes; the area has been used historically for pastoralism and mountain settlement and is now designated as a protected park to conserve its natural and cultural features.
Geographically the park sits in the northern Peloponnese within the administrative region of Western Greece, spanning parts of Achaea and adjoining municipalities, north of the Gulf of Corinth and near the towns of Diakopto and Kalavryta.
