Château de Talcy

Château de Talcy is a small château in the village of Talcy, in Loir-et-Cher, Centre-Val de Loire, showing medieval origins together with Renaissance-era alterations. It is part of the Loire Valley’s constellation of historic manor houses.

The château presents a compact complex of towers, fortified elements and later domestic wings characteristic of rural Loire dwellings; visitors typically view the exterior, some public rooms and the small enclosures around the building. The site is modest in scale compared with grand Loire châteaux and is often visited for regional history and architecture.

Talcy lies in the Loir-et-Cher department of Centre-Val de Loire, between Blois and Tours. The château sits within the village rather than on an extensive isolated estate, making it accessible from nearby Loire towns.
