Changi Beach Park
Park Coastal park with beaches, WWII historical sites
Low-rise sandy shorelines, a coastal promenade and barbecue pits make Changi Beach Park a weekend escape from Singapore’s centre. Visitors walk, cycle, fish or follow wartime memorials along the foreshore.
Changi Beach Park is a coastal public park on the northeastern shore of Singapore, offering a stretch of shoreline and recreational space adjacent to Changi. It is one of the island’s longstanding beach parks used for informal recreation.
The park provides sandy beach frontage, grassy picnic areas and sheltered bays suitable for swimming, fishing and barbecues. It is frequented for jogging, cycling and family gatherings and offers views across the water toward the northern shipping channels.
The beach has long been part of Singapore’s coastal recreational network and retains traces of its role in 20th century local history, including wartime events along the eastern coast. Facilities have been developed and upgraded by the national park authority to support public use.
The park runs along the north-eastern tip of Singapore close to Changi Village and Changi Airport, facing the strait to the north. It lies within the eastern coastal belt of the island and is accessible by road and public transport.
- Best time to visit: Most popular at sunrise and early morning when winds are typically lighter and visibility toward the strait is best.
