Cerro Tres Kandú

Cerro Tres Kandú (often called Tres Kandú) is the highest natural point in Paraguay, located in Guairá Department in the eastern highlands of the country.

The summit serves as Paraguay’s established topographic high point and is a destination for visitors seeking the country’s highest elevation rather than a large mountaineering challenge. Surrounding terrain is part of the rolling uplands rather than a dramatic alpine environment.

The hill has local significance as the national high point and has been used for mapping and geographic reference; its slopes are part of the regional landscape rather than the site of major historical events.

It sits in Guairá Department in eastern Paraguay within the upland zone of the interior, away from Paraguay’s main river lowlands.
