How to Get to Caye Sable #
Access requires hiring a local boat from coastal towns such as Les Cayes (Les Cayes is on Haiti’s southern coast) or smaller fishing villages in the Ouest department. Expect a 30-90 minute motorboat ride depending on sea conditions; landings are made on open sand and may require wading from the dinghy.
Tips for Visiting Caye Sable #
- Hire a local boat from the nearby town rather than attempting to land from a larger vessel-weather and currents can be surprisingly changeable.

- If staying to swim, check for local advisories about sea currents or recent storm debris.
