Cathedral Square (Katedros aikštė) is the principal public square in the Old Town of Vilnius, Lithuania, positioned directly in front of Vilnius Cathedral. It functions as the city’s main civic and ceremonial space.
The square is dominated by the cathedral’s colonnaded facade and a freestanding bell tower; it also affords views uphill to Gediminas’ Tower and the hilltop castle complex. The open paved space hosts markets, concerts, official ceremonies and seasonal events.
