The Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate (Monaco Cathedral) is the Roman Catholic cathedral of Monaco, located in the old town of Monaco-Ville. It was completed in the late 19th century and serves as the principal church of the principality.

The interior contains the principal altar, choir and chapels used for regular liturgies and state ceremonies. The cathedral is the traditional site for princely weddings and funerals and is the burial place of members of the Grimaldi family, including Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III.

The present building replaced an earlier medieval church and was constructed in the late 1800s; it has since been maintained as Monaco’s main cathedral and parish church. Over time the cathedral has remained in continuous use for worship and state occasions.

Sited in Monaco-Ville on a rocky outcrop above the harbor, the cathedral sits a short walk from the Prince’s Palace and the Oceanographic Museum. It is in the historic core of Monaco and is easily reached on foot from nearby central districts.
