The site is typically visited by car from Huesca or Barbastro; public transport is limited so plan on a drive or an organized tour.

• Plan an early-morning visit for the best light on the fortress and to avoid mid-day coach arrivals; the castle's hilltop position makes views especially clear before haze builds later in the day.
• Use the designated visitor car park at the base and follow the marked path up to the castle - the short steep approach is inevitable but parking is organised to keep vehicle access off the narrow village streets.
