It retains several of the park’s original Olympic venues including ski jumps and sliding facilities.

The site offers downhill skiing and snowboarding in winter, ski jumping towers, and a sliding track used for bobsleigh and skeleton training. In summer the grounds host a mountain bike park, zipline and adventure activities, plus seasonal public programs and competitions.

Constructed in the lead-up to the 1988 Winter Olympics, the park hosted Olympic events and was developed into a lasting training and recreation complex. Management transferred to the non-profit organization WinSport, which operates athlete programs and public services at the venue.

Located on Calgary’s west side, the park sits roughly 10 kilometres from downtown Calgary in Alberta, adjacent to foothills terrain and accessible by main arterial roads.
