Campo San Polo is a large public square in the sestiere of San Polo in central Venice, Italy. It is one of the city’s largest open campos and serves as a communal gathering space.

The square is flanked by churches, palazzi and cafes and is used for public events, temporary markets and occasional open-air performances. Its broad paved surface makes it a focal point for local life beyond the tourist circuit.

From medieval times the campo has functioned as a market and public meeting place for the San Polo district and has hosted community events through successive centuries.

Campo San Polo sits in central Venice within walking distance of the Rialto area and the Grand Canal, in the historic core of the city.

Campo San Polo is in central Venice. Arrive at Venezia Santa Lucia rail station and walk roughly 8-12 minutes (about 700-900 m) into the San Polo sestiere to the campo.

Alternatively, take vaporetto lines 1 or 2 to the Rialto or San Tomà stops and walk 5-10 minutes. Venice island is car‑free - if driving, park at Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto and continue on foot or by vaporetto.

• Go early morning to see Campo San Polo at its quietest and again in the evening when locals gather for aperitivo - the campo has a different, more local atmosphere than crowded St. Mark's.
• Spend time wandering the small streets and side canals around the square rather than just passing through; many visitors miss the nearby neighborhood bakeries, small churches and everyday Venetian life that frame the campo.
