How to Get to Calvillo#

Calvillo is best reached via Aguascalientes (AGU) or by road from Guadalajara. Most visitors arrive by air into Aguascalientes or Guadalajara and complete the journey by regional bus, shuttle or taxi.

By Air

Aguascalientes International Airport (AGU): From AGU you can take a taxi or private transfer to Calvillo (about 50-70 km). Typical taxi/private-transfer fares are roughly MXN 700-1,000 and the drive takes about 50-75 minutes depending on traffic. Shared shuttles or colectivos from Aguascalientes city centre toward Calvillo are cheaper (around MXN 80-150) but require a transfer at the Aguascalientes bus terminal.

Guadalajara International Airport (GDL): Guadalajara is the nearest major international airport with many connections; drive time to Calvillo is roughly 1.5-2.5 hours (110-150 km). Expect intercity bus or private transfer prices of approximately MXN 300-1,500 depending on operator (buses at the central bus station are cheapest; private transfers/taxis are more expensive).

By Train & Bus
