Cabral is a coastal town in Barahona Province reached by road from María Montez Airport (Barahona) or by long‑distance bus from Santo Domingo. There are no trains - buses, taxis and rentals are the standard transport options.
María Montez International Airport (BRX): Cabral (Barahona Province) is most easily accessed from Barahona’s María Montez Airport. The airport is close to the town of Barahona and a taxi to Cabral takes approximately 30-50 minutes; expect fares around 500-1,000 DOP for a private car.
Las Américas International Airport (SDQ): International arrivals commonly land in Santo Domingo and continue by road to Cabral; the drive takes roughly 3-4 hours. Long‑distance buses and private transfers operate on this route (see bus card).
Train: There is no passenger rail network serving Cabral.
Bus: Interprovincial buses and shared vans run between Barahona and Cabral; travel times vary but are typically under 1 hour from Barahona town. From Santo Domingo take a long‑distance bus to Barahona and change to a local service for Cabral; fares from Santo Domingo to Barahona are commonly 300-700 DOP, with the local segment to Cabral costing less.
