How to Get to Bulembu
Bulembu is a highland town in Eswatini's Hhohho Region; visitors normally approach by road from King Mswati III International Airport (SHO) or overland from South African gateways. There is no passenger rail-coaches and private vehicles are the practical ways in, with the final leg often on steep, winding roads.
King Mswati III International Airport (SHO): Eswatini’s main international airport near Matsapha/Manzini; from there you travel by road to Hhohho Region and Bulembu. The drive from SHO to Bulembu is long and mountainous-expect several hours by private car or taxi and plan for limited public transport for the final stretches.
Johannesburg / Durban gateways: Many international visitors arrive via Johannesburg (O.R. Tambo, JNB) or Durban (DUR) and then connect by regional flights or road transfer into Eswatini; road transfers from South Africa’s gateways commonly involve long drives and border crossings.
Train: There is no passenger rail service into Eswatini for international travellers-rail freight exists but not practical for passengers to Bulembu.
Bus / Coach: Long-distance coaches and shuttle services operate between Mbabane/Manzini and border towns; from Mbabane to Bulembu you will need a private taxi or local minibus where available. Expect variable schedules and prepare for a rugged final approach into the highland town.
