Broughty Castle

Broughty Castle is a stone fortress sited on the north bank of the Firth of Tay at Broughty Ferry, near Dundee in Scotland. The structure dates to the late medieval period and has been adapted over centuries for coastal defence.

The castle’s compact keep and surrounding walls are prominent on the shoreline and today house museum displays about local and maritime history. The setting includes a promenade, beach and visitor facilities near the castle.
