How to Get to Bopolu
Bopolu is best reached overland from Monrovia (Roberts International) or regional centres; there is no passenger rail and road conditions can make journeys long. Arrange transport in advance and allow generous travel time.
Roberts International Airport (ROB): Roberts International (near Monrovia) is Liberia’s main international airport and the usual entry point for travel to Bopolu. From Roberts Intl the overland journey to Bopolu is long (several hours, depending on road conditions) and requires a private vehicle or bush taxi; expect a full-day trip or an organized transfer.
Tuzon / local airstrips: There are small domestic airstrips in some counties but commercial scheduled domestic flights to Bopolu are not generally available; overland travel is the norm.
