How to Get to Bicurga
Malabo International Airport (SSG) / Bata Airport (BSG): Equatorial Guinea’s international connections are limited. Malabo (Bioko) and Bata (on the mainland) are the main commercial airports - which one you use depends on where you begin your journey. If travelling to Centro Sur (where Bicurga is located), Bata is the usual entry for mainland travel; from Bata you will need domestic road or boat transfers to reach smaller localities.
(Regional air services): Domestic flights and charters operate intermittently; availability is limited and often changes, so confirm schedules with local operators before travelling.
Train: There is no national passenger rail network in Equatorial Guinea.
Bus / Road: Road travel and shared taxis (colectivos) are the primary means of getting between towns on the mainland. Road conditions and service frequency vary; hire a local driver or use scheduled minibuses where available, and expect travel times to be dependent on road quality and weather.
