Bhimdatta (Mahendranagar) is a border town in Sudurpashchim Pradesh best reached by air via nearby Dhangadhi or by long-distance bus overland. The closest domestic airport is Dhangadhi Airport; long-distance buses connect Bhimdatta with Nepalgunj and Kathmandu.

By Air

Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM): Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan is the main international gateway for Nepal. From KTM you’ll usually take a domestic flight to Dhangadhi (DHI) and then a ground transfer to Bhimdatta - domestic flights to Dhangadhi take about 1-1.5 hours; expect domestic fares roughly NPR 6,000-12,000 one-way (season and carrier dependent). After landing in Dhangadhi you can take a taxi or local bus to Bhimdatta (see Dhangadhi paragraph below).

Dhangadhi Airport (DHI): Dhangadhi is the closest domestic airport serving far-western Nepal. From Dhangadhi airport you can reach Bhimdatta/Mahendranagar by shared local bus or jeep (typical journey ~1-1.5 hours) or by hired taxi (about 45-75 minutes). Typical costs: shared bus/jeep NPR 150-300 per person; airport taxi/private car NPR 1,500-3,000 depending on vehicle and negotiation.

By Train & Bus

Train: Nepal does not have a national intercity passenger rail network connecting Bhimdatta; there are no regular long-distance train services to the city.
