Beyazıt Square

Beyazıt Square (Beyazıt Meydanı) is a public square in Istanbul’s Fatih district within the historic peninsula, immediately adjacent to the Grand Bazaar. The square sits beside the large Ottoman-era Beyazıt Mosque and the campus of Istanbul University, making it a civic and commercial crossroads.

The area functions as a pedestrian and transport hub where shoppers, students and commuters intersect; entrances to the Grand Bazaar and university buildings open off the square. Street-level activity includes market access, tram stops and small retail outlets.
