How to Get to Berrechid
Berrechid is easiest to reach via Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) or by ONCF regional trains from Casablanca and Rabat. The town sits on the main Casablanca-Marrakesh corridor so rail and road links are the most practical options.
Mohammed V International Airport (CMN): Casablanca’s main international gateway. From CMN you can take the ONCF airport train to Casa Voyageurs (about 45-55 minutes) and then a regional train or taxi to Berrechid; the airport train service is a common, affordable option for reaching Casablanca and connecting onward.
Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA): A secondary option if coming from the Rabat area. By car it’s roughly 1-1.5 hours to Berrechid depending on traffic; you can also take trains from Rabat to Casablanca and change onto services that call near Berrechid.
Train: Berrechid is served by Morocco’s ONCF rail network; there are regular regional and intercity trains on the Casablanca-Marrakesh corridor that stop at or near Berrechid. Travel from Casa Voyageurs to Berrechid is short (around 20-35 minutes) on regional services.
Bus: Local buses and shared “grand taxis” connect Berrechid with Casablanca and surrounding towns. Buses and shared taxis depart from Casablanca terminals and take roughly 30-60 minutes depending on route and traffic.
How to Get Around Berrechid #
Berrechid’s central streets are compact and easy to walk if you’re staying in the town centre. Short trips are usually done by petit taxi; for travel to nearby cities people use shared grand taxis or intercity buses. Expect very low fares for local rides (a few Moroccan dirhams for short hops). Keep cash handy, negotiate shared-taxi prices when boarding, and avoid assuming frequent bike rentals - cycling isn’t common for visitors here.
