Bengaluru Palace

Bengaluru Palace is a royal residence in the city of Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka, India, built for the Wadiyar dynasty in the late 19th century and fashioned in a Tudor revival style inspired by Windsor Castle. It remains one of the city’s best-known historic buildings.

The palace houses ornate interiors including carved timber, stained glass, and a collection of portraits and artefacts associated with the royal family, and its grounds are used for public events and exhibits. Parts of the building are open to visitors as a museum and tourist attraction.

The palace was commissioned and developed by members of the Wadiyar royal family during a period of late-19th and early-20th-century construction and expansion. Architectural additions and interior decoration were completed over several decades.
