Bayezid II Mosque, Istanbul

The Bayezid II Mosque is an early 16th-century Ottoman mosque located on the historic peninsula of Istanbul, commissioned by Sultan Bayezid II. It forms part of a traditional Ottoman külliye that historically included educational and social service buildings alongside the mosque.

Architectural highlights are the large central-domed prayer hall, a rectangular courtyard flanked by arcades, and ancillary domed rooms that illustrate classical Ottoman mosque design.
